Indonesian artists give a final touch before their performance. They were not bothered about my presence but concentrating on their makeup and costumes. I like their true involvement for their performing art.

When Kilauea volcano’s Puu Oo vent was active I visited it often. On this particular cold January morning the winds were light, which allowed the superheated gases and steam to rise straight up into the sky from the glowing and spattering vents within Puu Oo. The cold air pushed the hot plumes back down in a swirling motion at sunrise. This allowed for the beautiful colors. Shot with a Nikon Dslr and the Nikon 10.5 lens from the north rim of Puu Oo vent. 30-second exposure.

Polar bears from all over western Manitoba bide their time in October and November on the western shore of Hudson Bay, just waiting for the bay to freeze over, at which time they disappear out onto the pack ice to feed on seals. While waiting for the ice to form, they sleep, snuggle, play, and play fight with each other!
